I work mainly with acrylic on canvas. I work with them in different ways. The bases are made up of very thin layers of diluted acrylics whereas the subject is created with a lot more intention and vibrancy
I grew up and live in rural meath so I'm very influenced by the vernacular structures within the landscape.
I want my pieces to create a sense of stillness and nostalgia for the viewer and to celebrate Irish heritage in a contemporary way.
